"But that's [her]"

This phrase has been coming up a lot lately in several conversations. It's really making me think about myself. What does the phrase "But that's Laura" mean for my life. When people say that is it a negative or positive conversation? It's making me start to really look deep into my life, my heart, my attitude.

What does "But that's [fill in your name here]" mean for you?

Double the fun

Yesterday was such a long day. I had to work but then it was so much fun. For the first time in a VERY LONG time my sister and I got to go shopping and out for dinner together. Alone. No kids. It was so nice. We had good conversations, laughed a lot, shopped a lot, and just had a great time. It's scary to think how much we like the same things. Well, I guess not so much scary as quite funny and interesting. First off, we have the same necklaces (compliments of Lea) which of course we wore yesterday, we ordered the same drinks and food for dinner, bought the same sweaters. Not to mention the fact that we both were driving Accords. Anyway, it was a fun evening.

A special thanks to my hubby for taking care of the curly girls literally all day so I could enjoy an evening out. They had tons of fun too...went out for breakfast and played outside. Love you!

Every little bit helps

I'm thinking it's time to get my organization research "organized" and start making it happen. I've done so much research and have so many ideas now, it's time to make it happen. My problem now, where do I start? I think I will start with my daily routine and time management. There are are a lot of things that need to be accomplished on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and I want to be better at keeping the house running in a smooth manner. So my goal for tomorrow is to fill out my daily "routine" pages in my family notebook and start to put it into play. I am going to make it a goal to work on the organization of the contents the notebook every day.

So much....

Wow! Okay so this month has been busy! Not much free time which has been good and bad. As usual, the unexpected shows up at the wrong time. This past weekend our water heater decided it didn't want to hold water in anymore and leaked out and into our neighbor's house! They are currently getting a brand new ceiling courtesy of the Rempel family. Oh well. We got a new water heater (the old one was still covered under warranty -yeah!) and the garbage disposal was replaced in the process! (double yeah!) After quite a rough day with calling plumbers and dealing with Comcast (yes again but this time for the tv), my birthday present from my hubby came in the mail. I finally have my Kindle! I'm so excited! Right now I'm in the middle of 2 books written by Jill Savage [yeah! figured it out!(as soon as I figure out how to do links and all that stuff I'll link the books and author...sorry Jill. :))]

Let's see, what else is going on with us...well, the curly Qs are growing up way too fast. Every day they amaze me with the stuff they are learning. Kylee told me today that she would take a nap so that my heart would be happy. :) Ashlyn is trying so hard to talk. They are starting to play pretend together too. It's really cute. It makes me so happy to see them playing together and getting along. They definitely have their "she won't share with me" moments but for the most part they get along great!

That's about it for now. Time to try to update this blog and figure some more stuff out. Some day...
