Wow, so the last couple of weeks have been a bit rough. Kylee has decided that she doesn't like sleeping anymore. First she started with a random fever and then she was okay. Then she was scared of the "wipies" and the "scaries." We thought we figured out what the "wipies" and "scaries" were so we used "scary spray" (read: water in a Febreeze bottle). This sort of helped until she actually had to crawl in bed. We've been battling this no sleeping thing for TOO long. Her doctor said that it sounds more like separation anxiety. This past weekend she has pretty much decided that we would never be allowed out of her site when she was supposed to be sleeping. Friday night she was up every hour and last night she was up every hour after around midnight or so. We have now decided to no longer talk to her and convince her to bed. We are pulling out the "Super Nanny" technique and silently putting her back to bed every time she gets out of bed. Tonight will be the trial run with this. Hopefully soon we will see progress! Kylee is so over-tired. She just screams and screams. She has also lost her appetite. This is battle number 2 with her. She hardly eats anything as it is and now she eats half of what she ate before. Oh well. I'm learning "this too shall pass."
Thankfully, Ashlyn is handling all this crying quite well. We have put her back in our room for the time being so she at least gets some sleep. (Kylee now sleeps with 3 nightlights and her room lights on) She has hit many milestones the last 2 weeks. She has her 2 bottom front teeth and her top left front tooth just cut through on Friday night! She is also saying "ba-ba" when she's hungry or sees her bottle, pulling herself up on furniture, people or anything else she can get her hands on, and as of about 10 minutes ago, she is clapping! What a fun time for her and us! Oh, and we had to put her crib down another level because I came in to her room to get her after her nap on Friday and she was standing in her crib ready to flip over the side! She is proving more and more that she is going to be my daring child.
Hopefully this week brings more happiness to our household. We've had many rough nights and the house is quite out of control. I'm pretty sure that we've hit rock-bottom with this whole separation anxiety thing and am looking forward to that "light at the end of the tunnel."

Fun stuff from Kylee:
I woke up around 4:30 am Wednesday morning and saw our door (which is usually shut, not latched) opened slightly. I looked around and figured it must have been Elwood going to get some water. About 15 minutes later I woke up again to see our door wide open. I knew that I should get up and see what Kylee was up to. As I climbed out of bed, I looked in the doorway and there was Kylee sleeping. She looked so cute!

Wow...
...has it really been over a month?!
I can't believe how busy we have been! Ashlyn is now crawling, well, still army crawling because she likes to carry things in her hands but still, she is on the move! Two weeks ago she cut her first tooth and last week the second one came in. She is now trying to pull herself up on anything she can and nothing gets in her way. And, she is working on waving! It's adorable!
Kylee is continuing to be a sponge and soak up everything she can. It's great! She loves her little sister and is super helpful. Right now she is in another phase of being scared to sleep. Apparently, "wipies" and "scaries" are in her room. Poor little girl.
As far as Seth and I, we are crazy busy as usual. But, it's good. :)
I guess that's it for my update.
